The Lost City Movie Story - Synopsis.

Garcia makes his debut as a director in this historical tribute to Cuba. Havana in the '50s is a place of pleasure, but some people are not happy under the rule of Batista. As the revolutionary forces take over the city, Fellove (Andy Garcia), the owner of music nightclub, El Tropico, tries to hold his family together.

Nightclub owner Fellove (Andy Garcia) is having an affair with the wife of his brother creating trouble in the family at a time when Cuba is about to be overthrown by Fidel Castro.

brother Luis gets killed by the during the struggles and brother Ricardo is kills himself when he realizes that Castro is just another dictator. Wary brother Fico, an apolitical entrepreneur, stays during the Revolution and sees everything confiscated by Castro.

Observing all is The Writer (Bill Murray) an American who sees Fico being drawn into events as the war changes everything. Though Fico watches a culture disappear and a people transformed, it is the Cuban music that keeps his memories alive.

Where Buena Vista Social Club is about an era of Cuban music, The Lost City captures the moment where musicianslike Beny More performed for audiences with rhythm, a rhythm that made Havana so famous.
